FRESNO: Dr. Gurinder S. Grewal member WSO Governing Council and S. Gurcharan S. Dhillon President WSO were assured full support by the San Joaquin Sikhs when they visited the San Joaquin Gurdwara Sahib on August 21, 1988.S, Gurcharan Singh dhill on addressed a very dedicated and committed audience. After the bhog ceremony and Guru Ka Langar the Sangat reassembled to discuss the various National and International issues. Several issues were discussed very openly and candidly by all the members. Overall the meeting was very productive and was held in a very cooperative spirit, Members requested s. Mohinder Singh Grewal to continue as coordinator of WSO San Joaquin Chapter. All the members showed deep concern about the situation in the Punjab. They were very delighted to know the status of S. Ranjit Singh Gill’s and Sukhminder S, Sandhu’s case.
To express their deep sympathy to their cause the Sangat donated a very large amount for their legal defense. The members were so moved and concerned that they decided to hold an Akhand Path on September 9, 10 and 11, 1988 to pray for their Chardi Kala. WSO requests the area Sikh Sangat to join the Sikh Sangat of San Joaquin in an Ardas on September 11, 1988 for the Chardi Kala of S. Ranjit Singh Gill and Sukhmander S. Sandhu.
