MADRID, Reuter: Jahangir Khan of Pakistan was kept on court for 100 minutes by his 17yearold compatriot Jansher Khan before winning the final of the Spanish Open Squash Tournament.
Jahangir, the number one seed and former world champion, won an unexpectedly competitive contest against an unseeded opponent 96, 79, 97, 91, recoving from a third game crisis when he was 61 down.
Jansher, the world junior champion, failed to sustain his effort and won only two more points, surrendering the final game in just seven minutes.
Australia’s Tristan Nancarrow beat compatriot Chris Robertson 98, 108, and 90 in the playoff for third place.
