W’S.O. showing ~ tremendous interest
in Sikh Studies, hosted a potluck dinner for the international scholars at the residence of Darleen and Sulakhan Singh Dhillon. The invitees participated by bringing various dishes to the common pot which was enjoyed by all the participants. A sign of “W.S.O. welcomes all scholars on Sikhism” was displayed. The dinner was also attended by Hardam Singh Azad and Gurmeet Singh Aulakh. This occasion went a long way to bring together all the distinguished Sikhs who work for the Sikh cause.
Prof. Karamjit S. Rai, University of Norte Dame, introduced the distinguished guests to the scholars and assured them of all the future support in carrying on the program of Sikh Studies everywhere. Didar Singh Bains, President W. S.O. International, appointed ~ Prof. Karamjit Singh Rai and Sulakhan Singh Dhillon as liaison men of W.S.O., to help and coordinate the Sikh Studies throughout the country. This means that scholars can count on W.S.O. ’s help in their work.
The evening ended in a spirit of cooperation and goodwill towards everyone and a determination to do more good for the advancement of the Sikh community.
Such gatherings are needed’ more and more so that Sikhs can’ work together more effectively:
