ARMJIT SINGH DHILLON was born at village Chak No.33 district Layllpur now in Pakistan. The family migrated to India in 1947 a after the partition of the country. Mr Dhillon passed his high school from J.D.J. High School, Dhilwan in 1949. He passed FSc. from D.AV. College, Jullundur in 1951. He got diploma in Electrical Engineering from Nilokhari Polytechnic Nilokhari,Karnal in 1956. He passed national diploma in Electrical Engineering in 1961 from Delhi Polytechnic (which was considered equivalent to B.S in Electrical Engineering).
Paramjit joined C.P.W.Daas a Sectional Officer (Electrical) in 1956 and worked there till 1962, when he joined Military Engineering service as an Assistant Garrison Engineer. He worked there in that capacity till 1969.
Parampt Dhillon migrated to the USA. in 1969 and worked with various companies as Electrical designer with DANIEL, MANN, JOHNSON &MENDENHALL from March 1970 to April 1972, Electrical and Electronic Technician at LOCKHEED AIRCRAFT CORPORATION, Assistant Engineer at FLUOR ENGINEERS & CONSTRUCTORS from 1974, Electrical Engineer at HUGHES AIRCRAFT CO., Electric Engineering Designer at UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT from 1976, Senior Plant Engineer with DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT CO. from 1980.
