FARIDKOT, Punjab, India: Seven more freedom fighters were allegedly arrested in the course of raids and naka-bandies from the district’s different parts during the past 48 hours and large quantities of arms and ammunition were reportedly recovered from their possession. These freedom fighters have been booked for the murders committed in Kalianwali village about a year ago and three cases of robberies including snatching of cash bags from Punjab Roadways. Conductors at pistol point in Malout some six months ago said the police release. Giving details of the arrest and the police operation, Mr. Des Raj, S.P., said the freedom fighter Joga Singh of Ludwala village was nabbed in a raid by the Kot Bhai Police on a tip off from Ferozepur that the murders of Sant Mukhtair Singh were taking shelter with Joga Singh.
AC.I.A. police party headed by Inspector Baldev Singh arrested Mohinder Singh of Tejumul Khaja village and Kakan Singh of Tirsarkari village while moving in suspicious circumstances near Muktsar.
