New Delhi — The father and five other relations of Satwant Singh, one of the accused in the Indira Gandhi assassination case, have urged the court of the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Mr. S. L. Khanna, for permission to attend the committal proceedings of the case in the Tihar Central Jail.
Mr. Khanna issued notice to the prosecution for Saturday on the application by the father, Mr. Trilok Singh, and the others.
All the three accused in the case — Satwant Singh, Balbir Singh and Kehar Singh — will be
Produced before Mr. Khanna on Saturday on the expiry of their judicial remand.
The magistrate, meanwhile, adjourned till March 25 the arguments on the bail application of Kehar Singh.
Mr. Khanna _ allowed Kehar Singh’s son, Rajinder Singh, to be present during the remand proceedings on Saturday.
The magistrate will pass orders on Satwant Singh’s counsel, Mr. P. N. Lekhi’s application seeking permission to have a legal interview with Satwant outside the jail.
