London: There is near unanimity in the British press comments that Rajiv’s government faces its gravest challenge in solving the ticklish Panjali problem. The issue has become so complex through consistent mishandling by the previous regime that it appears to defy any solution. Sikhs have been antagonised to a point of no return and India’s unity would remain a distant dream as long as Sikhs stand alienated from the mainstream.
