SOUTH CAROLINA: Naina Khera was elected as president of Beta Club at The South Carolina State Convention held at Myrtle Beach on Feb. 1718,95. She contested against six other candidates for this position. She is the first Indian elected for this prestigious position in a keenly contested academic and leadership competition. She will be a candidate at the national competition to be held at Orlando on June 14-17, 95.
Naina’s Vocational goals are to become a lawyer and she will seek admission at Harvard University. She is 16-years-old, presently a Junior at Midland Valley High School at Langley, South Carolina. Naina is the youngest daughter of Col. Daljit and Preet Khera. She does Shabad Kirtan. Ms. Naina Khera at our Gurdwara and is also very active in cultural activities of the community.
