CHANDIGARH: The Amritsar Police Sept. 25th registered a case of sedition against Onkar Singh, brother of Prof ‘Manjit Singh, the acting jathedar of the Akal Takht.
Police sources said that the case registered under Section 124 A of the Indian Penal Code, was filed at the Civil Lines police station. Onkar Singh was charged with distributing seditious material during the World Sikh Convention, here, Sunday.
Onkar Singh had reportedly given the newsmen, copies of a fax from Babbar Khalsa, in which it had demanded “Khalistan, a separate Sikh homeland.
