SRINAGAR: The “AlFaran” militant outfit Sept.9th extended for an unspecified period the deadline for the release of its jailed activists in exchange of the four kidnapped foreign tourists and resumed contact with the authorities, report agencies.
In a hand written statement issued to the local press, the outfit, whose earlier deadline expired, said “we are extending the deadline following requests from the family members of the four hostages.” “But we warn the authorities to accept our demands immediately or we will take extreme steps,” the statement in Urdu said.
However, it did not mention anything about the negotiations with the government representative recently.
