CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Chief Minister, Harcharan Singh Brar, inducted five Cabinet ministers in to his Cabinet, including Tej Parkash Singh, son of assassinated Chief Minister Beant Singh, in the first phase here Sept.9th.

Others who were sworn in are Kewal Krishan, Dilbagh Singh, Sajjan Kumar Jakhar and Mohinder Singh Kaypee.

They were administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Goyemor, Lt. Gen. (Retd) B.K.N. Chhibber, in the Raj Bhavan.

Those present at the ceremony included the family members of the late Chief Minister, including his widow, Mrs, Jaswant Kaur, a number of MLAs who had abstained during the swearing in of Brar and senior civil and police officers.

Brar told media persons after the swearing in that the Cabinet would be expanded in the near future and. the portfolios would be allocated during the next few days.
