CHANDIGARH: The Samata Party, in its local election manifesto, has listed that it will endeavor for a “Greater Chandigarh” wherein integrated planning and development of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula can take place, During the release of the manifesto the party candidate, Harmohan Dhawan, observed, “cither the satellite townships could be merged with Chandigarh or the area could be developed as a sort of loose confederation.

Senior Citizens’ Center for the retired personnel, a check on fees charges by private schools and settle ment of other related issues, land for nursing homes and guest houses, pucca booths for vendors, sheds are rickshaw, auto, horse pulled Rehras and others like dhobis, cobblers and others, an end to inspector raj and amendment to Food Adulteration Act and resolution of pending demands of employees and many other issues are: included in the document.
