BOMBAY: Seventy one New Year’s revelers died here after drinking, contaminated liquor, the Press Trust of India reported Wednesday. “The news agency said 35 people were critically ill after drinking at 8 government licensed bar in central Bombay. Hospital doctors said many of the cases were hopeless.
“They are having respiratory problems, their vision is gradually dimming, and their hands and legs are getting cold”, a doctor at Nair Hospital said.
