GUWAHATI: The Army apprehended 41 suspected ULFA militants during the last 24 hours in the northeastern Indian state of Assam, however, nothing is known of the fate of six ULFA hostages including tree O.N.G.C, officials.

With this, the total number of ULFA suspects nabbed so far has increased to 971 of which 552 were released, while 317 were handed over to the police and 102 are still in army custody, according to official sources.

The sources said here that six ULFA suspects were apprehended from Rangapara and one country made pistol with the round of 9 mm ammunition were recovered from them.
