New Delhi: The election commission in India appointed 39 observers for the Lok Sabha (Lower House of Indian Parliament) and Assembly elections in Punjab which are to be held Feb. 19. An election commission press note said there will be three observers for 13 Parliamentary Constituencies and each observer have been assigned three assembly segments. The observers are senior officers of the Joint Secretary to the Govt of India.
