SRINAGAR: Alert troops foiled a major infiltration attempting the nor them sector when they killed 32 Pakistan trained militants while elsewhere in the Valley seven militants and three security personnel were among 20 persons killed.
Meanwhile, the beleaguered militants who have been hiding in the shrine of Sufi saint Sheikh Noorudi Noorani Chrare Sharif have threatened to blow it up.
The foreign mercenaries led by Mast Gul, reportedly conveyed this threat to the local police officials. They have demanded immediate retreat of troops and safe passage out of the Chrar, official sources said, in another development, self-styled chief commander of “Ikhwanul Musclemen” sacked its chairman Hill Ahmed Beg and another “district chief” Koka Parray for their alleged “anti-movement” activities.
The bandh called by outlawed Hizbul Mujahideen, crippled life in the Valley on the second day this week.
