CHANDIGARH: The Beant Singh assassination case took a new turn whens Balwant Singh te Shamsher singh, two suspects case, retracted hg the confessional statements were purported to have made before judicial magistrates. The CBI that had investigated the case claimed that both the suspects had confessed to their involvement in Fe the murder of Beant Singh, suspects were in the CBI custody.
Mr. Amar Singh Chahal, Mr. Navkiran Singh and Mr.N.S. Minhas, who appeared for suspects, moved an application on their “behalf denying that they had per any confessional statements. The two suspects also said they were ignorant of the contents of the statements.
