JAMMU: Eighteen persons were Injured, three of them seriously, when suspected militants lobbed a powerful Chinese grenade at Pirmitha area of Jammu.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Valley, three Army personnel and six militants were among 14 people killed overnight while troops foiled an attempt by 10 militants to cross over into Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), A Defiance Ministry spokesman told media persons that troops during routine patrolling in the northern sector, noticed a group of 10 Kashmiri youths trying to cross Over into Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) for receiving arms training, However, on being challenged, the youths surrendered without any resistance. The recruits drawn from Badgam, Anantnag Barmulla and Kupwara revealed during interrogation that they Were being forcibly taken to POK by a banned outfit. Later they were brought to a base camp for further questioning.
