BASTI: At least 150 people have died in the worst Indian food poisoning tragedy in Raipurwa village in Basti district Uttar Pradesh since Monday.
The toll touched 150 with 63 more people, who were hospitalized on Monday, being declared dead Tuesday.
An official spokesman here said it was not possible to know the exact number of victims since all the affected had not been taken to the district civil hospital and some of the patients had also been taken to nearby Gorakhpur.
