CHANDIGARH: Bhai Jaspal Singh Padda alias Pala area commander of the KCF and ten other militants were among 19 persons killed in Punjab April 14. Over the week 148 persons lost their lives.

Two hardcore militants were killed in an encounter with security forces near Arnikhera village of Faridkot district Sunday. They were later identified as Jagraj Singh and Bhai Surjeet Singh.

Faridkot district chief Swaran Singh told newsmen that both were involved in a large number of cases in Ferozepore Amritsar and faridkot districts.

One AK-47 rifle one .38 bore revolver and some cartridges were recovered from the spot.
