LOS ANGELES Ca.: At the two day National Council meeting of World Sikh Organization held here on September 13 and 14 it was decided to create a million dollar irrevocable WSO trust fund It was the sixth: meeting since its formation. $10(000 were collected on the spot for the trust fund. The plan is to keep the trust fund in fact and use only the income generated by this fund. This will help to streamline the routine functioning of the organization and also provide enough financial support to pursue its objects in a more methodical and effective manner.

The general consensus at the meeting was in favor of formulating definite projects end allotting them to different chapters.

The task of operating World Sikh Pack was assigned to W.S.O. Chapter of New York The Pack will function in close coordination with the Sikh Cultural Society New York. S Baldev Singh will act as the convener with Dr. Naunihal Singh and S. Jagjit Singh Mangat as active associates.

The project to study the economic viability of Khalistan will be executed by Mrs Gurbax Kahlon as Project Manager and S. Amarjit Singh Buttar as the Coordinator.

For Gurmat Parchar and interreligious coordination Dr. Manohar Singh Grewal and S. Harbans Singh Sraon were requested to develop the required machinery. Mr Gurcharan Singh Dhillon S. Balbir Singh Ragi S. Sraon and Amarjit Singh Buttar were requested to prepare the draft for the Trust Fund.

All the council members were requested to establish contacts with their area Senator sand Congressman and also to participate in the political process of the country during the forthcoming November elections.

The council reaffirmed its support to World Sikh News and appreciated its role in protecting the Sikh image and Sikh struggle in its proper perspective.

Plans were also drawn to increase W.S.O. membership to ensure wider participation of the community.
