PATIALA: Punjabi University proposes to so develop its center at Damdama Sahib as to qualify for the status of a university at a later stage. ‘This was stated by Joginder Singh Puar, Vice-Chancellor of the University, al the Senate meeting on Feb.21. He said from the next session beginning in July, M.Com and B.Com, classes would be Started at Damdama Sahib. The University is already running MBA classes and computer COUTSES,
The Senate unanimously appealed to the V-C to make all-out efforts to educationally develop the Malwa region and to set up a University there.
Puar assured the members that the University would ensure that the pace is set for an educational, Social, cultural and economic transformation of the region.
