2.1.5. Venue of Deliberation of Gurbani It is another well-established concept that deliberation of Gurbani cannot be done in Gurdwaras. Because it can create uncontrollable and unethical scene in the presence of the AGGS which would bring disgrace to the AGGS. It is a pity that if we, the Sikhs, _cannot deliberate on Gurbani in Gurdwara calmly and sensibly, then we are living in a society of Savages. I have already discussed this topic in details that how one can evaluate the philosophy. It can be done in Gurdwara through deliberation of Gurbaniin the Sangat. The in charge of Gurdwara stage is responsible to initiate such deliberation immediately when Kirtanwla or Kathakar or lecturer has finished his/her preaching. For those Sikhs who hold the above concept that discussion or deliberation of Gurbani cannot be carried out in Gurdwara, I would like to quote a verse from Gurbani that explains that it is the Gurdwara where such deliberation can be carried out: AGGS, M1, p 730.
Only that body (mind) is pure that is liked by the Almighty. The body (mind) that is extremely polluted with vices cannot be put if led just by washing.
It is only when one enters the gateway (to the Gurbani) one can get wisdom (from Gurbani to realize the Almighty).
It is this gateway where after entering one can purify one’s polluted mind.
(When one enters this gateway) then the Almighty Himself will make one to distinguish between the polluted and purified mind.
One must not understand that the mind can be purified after going to the next world.
It is here in this world what you sow so shall you reap’.
The elixir of the life is the realization of the Almighty and He Himself will distribute it to you. Once one enters this gateway one will be honored.
Then man win be honored everywhere (in the next world and three worlds, used as similes).
Nanak says: you yourself will be contented and will make your filial generation (family) contented.
The main theme conveyed in this verse by Guru Nanak is as follows: The polluted mind cannot be purified by washing the body. It can be purified only when one enters the Gurdwara. As soon as you enter the Gurdwara you find the Gurbani When the Gurbani, is recited, discussed and followed (practiced) properly then one’s mind gets purified. Guru Dawara, therefore, means entering the gate way to Gurbani then understanding the Gurbani to find the truth, contentment and ultimately to realize the Almighty so that one can get salvation. Thus, it is the Gurdwara where proper evaluation of preaching (article) can be carried out to improve one’s understanding of Gurbani
2.1.6. Sikhism in One’s Modus. Vivendi: Finally according to Gurbani Sikhism can be adopted in one’s modus vivendi: AGGS, M3, p 26
Hey mind, you can get salvation at home, i.¢.., with normal house holder way of life, Those who do good deeds as advised by the Guru get enlightenment. AGGS, M 3, p 26
Those who followed the sabd (advice of Guru) got the salvation at home, i.e.., with normal house holder way of life. Contemplation on the Almighty together in a good Sangat gets the union with the Al mighty. (Because deliberation on abd to understand its philosophy, can be done only in Gurdwara as discussed previously).
