KARACHI Jan. 3, Reuter: Pakistan: A 10yearold boy and an adult relation were killed when a bomb being made in their house exploded, police said today.
The boy’s adoptive father was injured in the blast, which killed one of the father’s cousins.
Members of the victims’ family said the blast yesterday was caused by a gas cylinder, but the police said a bomb the men were making exploded.
The incident happened in Orangi town, the sprawling suburb where riots broke out last month. Altogether 186 people were killed and hundreds injured in several days of ethnic strife in Pakistan’s largest city.
The riots were quelled by several thousand Pakistani troops, but overnight curfews are still in force in parts of Orangi town.
