LONDON Nov, 14, Reuter: Two men appeared in a London court on Saturday charged with murdering a Sikh leader and another man at a mixed Sikh and Hindu prayer meeting on Wednesday.
Factory worker Manjit Singh ‘Sunder, 25, and unemployed Rajinder Singh Bath, 35, were remanded in custody until Thursday.
Darshan Das Vasdev. 35, leader ‘of a moderate Sikh sect preaching reconciliation of Sikhs and Hindus, and 45yearold Joga Singh died after being shot while Das Vasdev address a meeting at a West London school.
One of three men injured in the shooting, was still in a critical condition on Saturday, a hospital spokesman said.
