Ceres CA: Ina tragic car crash on High 132 east of San Joaquin River, three Sikhs were killed while another five were seriously injured. The names of the deceased are Veena Gill 21, of Ceres, Bhupinder Sandhu 35, of Livingston and Raman Dhillon 7, of Ceres. The injured are Reshpal Dhillon 31, Jasmin Chahal 6, both of Ceres, Sukha Singh 8 of Turlock, all admitted to Doctors Medical Center; Jasvir Chahal 28 of Ceres was admitted to Stanislaus Medical Center and Parmjit Singh 35, of Turlock was admitted to Memorial Hospital Ceres.
The tragic accident occurred on Saturday Feb.27 when the vehicles in which the unfortunate weekend travellers got involved in a multivehicle car crash.
California Highway Patrol giving details of the crash said that Veena Gill and Sandhu died instantly on the spot while Raman Dhillon 7, died at Memorial Medical Center shortly after the accident The Highway Patrol said that Gill who was alone driving a 1990 Toyota Corolla Weston High 132 while attempting to pass another vehicle collided head on with an oncoming vehicle, a 1986 Nissan Pickup driven by Mohan Mahal, 53, of Pleasant Hill. Mahal, who was alone, suffered minor injuries. The collision spun Mahal’s pickup and it was struck broadside by another cast bound 1992 Toyota Corolla driven by Pamela Palmore, 23 of Modesto. Palmore who sustained minor injuries was admitted to Memorial Medical center. Palmore had seven passengers in her car including Bhupinder Sandhu and Raman Dhillon.
