COLOMBO, Feb. 27, Reuter: Sri Lankan security forces killed seven Tamil separatist guerrillas yesterday in the rebels’ northern stronghold Jaffna, the government said today. It said one soldier and several rebels were wounded after a patrol encountered the guerrillas at Mawadipuram.
Troops also put a rebel transmission center at Tellipalai out of action, a statement said.
