NEW DELHI, India: The Pakistan Cricket team, touring India from Jan. 17, 1987, will paly an extra one day limited overs match against the Cricket Club of India in Bombay on Jan. 20, BCCI announced.
The match was not in the original itinerary but was agreed in view of the club’s golden jubilee celebrations this year. The Pakistan team will play five Test matches, three three-day matches and six one day limited overs games during the tour.
ALGIERS, Reuter: Competitors in the controversial Paris Dakar rally landed in Algiers, the first African stop on their 13,000 km battle through seven countries. The 498 vehicles 282 cars, 148 motorcycles and 73 trucks arrived from Barcelona in three ferries, it was the first time in the nine year old rally’s history that the route had taken them through a non-French Port En Route to Africa.
