CHANDIGARH: SHO of Nahianwala police station was gunned down by militants in an ambush near Nathpur village in Bathinda district April 23, while he was rushing to Krothaguru village where two security men were gunned down by militants earlier in the day. A gang of militants ambushed a police party escorting a militant, Harjinder Singh, alias Pappu, for the seizure of arms near Sohia village in, Jagraon police district on Thursday. In the ensuring encounter, Harjinder Singh was killed during the encounter.
