VANCOUVER: A special Shaheedi Diwan was held on September 22.at gurdwara Khalsa Drivan Society Ross Street Vancouver in which rich tributes. were paid to the Sikh martyrs Bhai Gurjant Singh Rajasthani Deputy Chief Khalistan Commando Force Bhai Seetal Singh Mattewal Chief Dasmesh Regiment Bhat Barjinder Singh Panjwar Senior Vice- President International Sikh youth Federation Bhai Balbinder Singh Jatana Bhai Ghamnjit Singh Channi Babbar Khalsa International and all other martyrs who laid down their lives fighting for the cause of Khalistan.
Addressing the huge Sunday congregation general secretary Bhai Aviar Singh Sandhu gave a Fearer ending account of the brutalities being committed on the Sikh youth and their innocent families. Talking about the nefarious designs of the government Sardar Aviar Singh made it amply clear that govt is perusing a policy of eliminating and. humiliating the Sikhs in place of giving a sympathetic listening to their long standing demands.
Bhai Kundan Singh Sajjan also unleashed a bitter attack on the government which is bent upon criminating the Sikh youth in a planned way. “The vainglorious hopes of the government to sup- press the Sikhs by bullets have been belied many times during the past years” said Bhai Kundan Singh. He made it clear that despite the killings of thousands and thousands of Sikh youth in fake Police encounters the demand for Khalistan has become all the more vigorous He made a fervent appeal to the Sikhs to unite all over the world to achieve their goal.
Giani Joginder Singh Bains Spokesman World Sikh Organization also paid high tributes to the martyrs with special refer- fence to the glorious part of the patriotic Sikhs. Sardar Bains also urged the Sikhs to follow and preach the Sikh tenets of love equality and service to mankind. M.A. charya Adarsh an Anand Marg leader also spoke on the occasion and urged the Indian Govt to solve the Punjab problem at the earliest. The traditional prayer was performed by Head Priest Bhai Balbinder Singh ji in which he prayed to God for blessing the whole mankind with peace and prosperity.
