AMRITSAR: The local journalists boycotted the DGP KPS Gills function here July 23 in protest against the beating up of two sports journalists at Delhi recently and Gills “insulting behavior” towards & few local senior scribes in the past.
At the function Gill was to donate the “safe skies award” money received by him at Barcelona last month to the local Police DAV Public School.
The Public Relations Department had sent press notes to the Jalandhar and Chandigarh-based newspapers and news agencies for covering the function.
