CHANDIGARH: The superintendent of police (Operations) H.R. Banga and S.H.O. Kathunangal Gurbinder Singh were seriously injured while nine militants were among 11 people killed in different encounters in Punjab on April 27.
“Lt. Gen” of Bhindranwale Tiger Force of Khalistan (Manochahal) Hardev Singh Kalla was killed in 4 fierce encounters near village Koili Dholewat in Amritsar district
Kalla wanted in over 150 killings and his accomplice was ailed when they attacked a police vehicle carrying Banga and Gurbinder Singh. Both the police officials were seriously injured in the incident
Angrez Singh a listed militant of the Khalistan Commando Force (Panjwar) was killed in an encounter with security forces near village Jalal Usman in Amritsar district.
Another militant Resham Singh of Bhindranwale Tigers Force of Khalistan (Satta Chinna) was Killed in an encounter with the police near village Tole Nangal in Amritsar district ne Ak-47 to magazines and some cyanide capsules were recovered from the spot.
