S.BALWANT SINGH CHAHAL was bom on 4/26/37 to Mrs, and Mr. Sarban Singh Chahal in the Fiji Islands. Originally the Chahals belong to village Talwandi Jattan, Jullundur, Punjab. Mr. Chahal is married to Shrimati Bachan Kaur Chahal and is the proud parents of three sons and a daughter.
Mr. Chahal migrated to U.S.A. in 1964. He first selected Modesto as a place for trying his luck then he shifted to San Francisco) and finally settled in San Jose. Mr. Chahal got his M.B.A. degree from Pepperdine University. He is now working with Utah International, San Francisco. He owns two service stations (Mobil) in San Jose and a farm in Hughson, Ca. with his brothers. He served as treasurer for the management committee of Sikh Temple Stockton and is currently associated with a committee formed to construct a building of a gurdwara in San Jose area.
