TORONTO: Current immigration levels one more than Canada’s infrastructure can bear, “says the report, written for the business sponsored think tank by Journalist Daniel Stoffman and published by the C.D. Howe Institute. In the 16 page document Stoffman calls for a cut in annual immigration to 150,000 from 250,000 more cuts in Canada’s acceptance rate for refugee claimants and quotas on the number of working age parents.
Stofiman concluded that countries like Canada have no moral responsibility to promote mass immigration from the third world. Instead, he urges greater spending on third world developments so migrants won’t have to leave home in the first place.
