TORONTO: More than 2,000 demonstrators marched on down town Toronto July 3 in a peaceful protest against racists recent attacks on Tamil immigrants in the city.

Police arrested two of the protestors for their role in an antiracism protest almost three weeks ago which turned violent when demonstrators protested the role of Gary Schiffer, operator of the Heritage native.

During this march, five RCMP officers placed their horses between demonstrators and several Heritage front members who were video lapping the protest rally. Members of the antiracist action committee marched with their faces covered to prevent identification. This rally was sponsored by more than 60 groups including labor, community and antiracist groups.
