NEW DELHI, India: Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kanwal Inder has extended till March 10 the judicial remand of 10 persons charged with harboring Harjinder Singh Jinda and Satnam Singh Bawa.
The 10 persons: Karam Singh; Surinder Singh Josh: Jagir Singh; Ujagar Singh; K ulwant Singh; Harjeet Singh; Amarjit Singh; Karam Singh Dhillon; Major Singh: and Baldev Singh — were produced in the court.
Seeking extension of the remand. State counsel R.D. Sharma contended that further investigation was in progress.
Jinda has since been transferred to Pune to face trial in the Gen A. S. Vaidya murder case, while Bawa allegedly escaped from Punjab police custody.
