BIKANER (PTI): Warding off more than 45 minutes of continuous pounding by services, Indian rail ways regained the Rang swami cup with a 10 victory in the 56th senior national hockey championship here March 3, Defending champions and federation cup holders services tied ail in their armory for an equalizer but could not stop railways from achieving their 20th title.

Railways, making their 27th entry into the final, took an early lead through Balwinder Singh’s goal.

Services, nighttime winners and playing their 17th final, retaliated with some fine showing from forwards Vijay Kujur, Baldev Singh, Manshid Topno and Ignatius Barla, but failed to score the vital goal.
