NEW DELHI: Rajendra Shekhar, (Indian Police Service) presently director general of police, Rajasthan, has been appointed director of the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Sekhar succeeds Dr A P Mukherjee, who has been transferred as officer on special duty in the ministry of home affairs.
Sekhar belongs to the 1957 batch of IPS from the Rajasthan cadre.
