PHAGWARA: Wrestlers of Jalandhar, Amritsar and Kapurthala came out with flying colors at the 23rd Punjab Wrestling Championships which concluded here.
Amritsar district won the championships in freestyle category with 35 points while Jalandhar district won the Greco Roman with 31 points. Wrestlers of Jalandhar won six gold medals in the Greco Roman category while grapplers of Amritsar won seven gold medals in the freestyle category.
Amritsar district got 35 points, Kapurthala came out second with 20 points while Jalandhar district got the third position, also 20 points in the freestyle category.
In the Greco Roman category Jalandhar came first with 31 points, Ludhiana and Hoshiarpur were declared second and third with 17 and 14 points in the Greco Roman category.
