CUTTACK (PTI): Surendranath alias Belu the alleged suspect in the worst ever country liquor tragedy in the eastern Indian Orissa state which claimed more than 200 lives still eludes the police dragnet despite a series of raids Conducted to arrest him during the past one week.

Meanwhile the state police also sought the assistance of their Counter parts in Delhi and Calcutta to apprehend the alleged culprit Police feel that Belu has managed to fly out of Orissa.

During a raid at Belu’s residence Police on Wednesday night seized several pots used for blending methyl alcohol with Aerated water and mandrax tablets. About two tuck loads of goods were; also seized police said Police also seized several “incriminating documents” relating to Belu’s business.
