The Panthic committee associated with Dr. Sohan Singh and others as well as militant
Organizations under it met somewhere in Hoshiarpur district to allege that jail authorities at Jalandhar and elsewhere maltreated those who went to meet the Sikh detenus. The authorities harassed those who pursued the vases registered against Sikhs.
The committee warned Delhi against the persecution of Sikhs and said that no amount of repression could demoralize the community which had known for bigger tyrants in its history.
The Sikh Students Federation (Bhai Dalit Singh Khalsa) in a Statement alleged that the Indian security forces were responsible for firing incidents on the passengers of Samjhauta Express to drive a wedge between Sikhs and Muslims.
