CUTTACK, (ORISSA) PTI: Three persons, including a police officer and his son, were arrested here recently after the district excise department officers seized about23 grammes of brown sugar from them,
The value of the seized drug was about Rs 205,000 in Indian markets and much more abroad, according to a spokesman of the excise department.
The police officer, Sitaram Tripathy, working at the Orissa State police headquarters, had since been suspended from service, according to official sources, Orissa is an eastern Indian coastal state.
