SARAJEVO, BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA: U.N. peacekeepers on Oct.18 took control of a key stretch of road into Sarajevo after Bosnian forces removed a blockade and let relief supplies flow again to the needy population.
But a surge in fighting in the capital the worst in weeks dampened joy over the imminent arrival of hundreds of tons of stockpiled food. Hospitals reported at least 100 wounded and an unknown number of deaths.
