AMRITSAR, Punjab, India: Differences amongst the militants took a sharp turn when a spokesman of the Five Member Panthic Committee announced on Wednesday that the panel no longer recognizes the convenor of AISS.., Bhai Gugit Singh and said that they would take stern action against him for his anti Panthic activities. The Panthic panel spokesman Bhai Jagir Singh said that he believed Bhai Gurjit Singh, in particular, and ALS.S.F in general has been bought over by the government. It was evident as Bhai Gurjit Singh did not refer to the demand of Khalistan, in any of his recent statements. Bhai Jagir Singh claimed he has learnt that Gurjit Singh has been offered the Chief MinisterShip of the state after the future elections. Regarding the stand of the Panthic Committee on the issue of Jathedar Akal Takht, Bhai Jagir Singh said if Bhai Jasbir Singh Khalsa did not come out openly in favour of the demand of Khalistan and if he did not perform his duties as Chief of Akal Takht, in accordance with Sikh tenets then we are not prepared to recognize him as Jathedar of Akal Takht. Both Bhai Jagir Singh and Bhai Nirvair Singh, the Panthic Committee spokesman have opened a formal office of Khalistan in Room No. 14 of the Parikrama of the Golden Temple, Amnitsar,  from where they have been operating for several months now.
