STOCKHOLM: China conducted its first nuclear weapons test in nearly two years, Swedish monitors said May 30, and Seismic measurements indicate a bomb 40 to 50 kilotons was tested in Xingjian province. The bomb dropped on Hiroshima was 20 kilotons. Observers contacted by WSN in America feel the device was most likely Pakistani. It was too small for the Chinese themselves, they said.
