With reference to your interview with BBC on the 10th Anniversary of Indira Gandhi’s assassination and the subsequent broadcast by CBC World News ‘on October31, 1994 between 4:00 and 5:00 am, you clearly stated Congress and yourself are totally innocent in regards to the planned butchering of thousands of Sikhs in Delhi, immediately following Ms. Gandhi’s demise. According to your statement, Sajjan Kumar is also not guilty or responsible for this heinous crime. Unfortunately for you, the evidence gathered by various commissions under the authority ‘of your government indicates otherwise. A Secret Service I hesitation shows that you and Sajjan Kumar are also responsible for instigating riots. When Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Khurana wanted to do justice, your government appointee, Lieutenant Governor intervened and stopped the due process of law. Honest and sincere judges attempt to judge fairly but your government chokes their efforts. Tad mires the justice of your country. The guilty are deemed innocent, free and enjoying the High Office of the incorrectly termed honest, democratic government; while thousands of innocent Sikhs languish in your jails year after year without charges being laid. Do you imagine in your wildest fantasy that the entire world is not aware of your corrupt governing practices? In spite of your countless restrictions, Human Rights Organizations clearly implicate you in massacre of thousands of men, women and) children, How long do we have to wait to seek justice? How long will you hide behind your lies? We take great comfort in the statement made by the Prime Minister of that time, “When tree falls, the earth shakes and many are hurt” What kind of a tree was that? Has anyone considered that the tree referred to was the highly regarded Indira Gandhi, a woman who was a disappointment as a daughter, an unfit wife and mother, one who was unable to govern her private affairs, much less the affairs of a country of such diverse magnitude? How long do we have to wait to seek justice? How long will you hide behind your lies?

I challenge you to take responsibility by requesting the independent International Tribunal to judge this case without prejudice. [Challenge you to settle ‘once and for all the question of ‘Who is guilty and who is innocent. Harbakhash Singh Sandhar President, World Sikh Organization Edmonton Chapter.
