ONTARIO: To infuse our growing young generation with a spirit: of zeal for Sikh values, it is imperative to encourage them to take a: keen interest in the study of Punjabi Language. Through this medium we can attract them to flourish and progress in their lives through the guiding light of Shri Guru Granth Sahib. It is gratifying to note that a large number of our boys and girls are already taking credit courses in Punjabi Language in their schools. To further promote this aspect the Ontario Khalsa Darbar, in cooperation with The Sikh Youth Cosmopolitan Community of Ontario, has instituted an annual program of Sikh Scholarships, This year the students who have completed and passed Punjabi Courses in the Grade 913 classes in their School Boards in Ontario in 199394 session will be eligible to apply for the following four categories of “Sikh scholarships.
FIRST with 90100% $500 SECOND with 8089% $250. THIRD with 7079% $100 FOURTH with 5069% $50 to put this program on a permanent standing it needs dire patronization of the Sadh Sangat, the parents, and most of all the business philanthropists. Your individual or collective family or business sponsorship will not only inculcate a religious feeling in the young generation, it wills also eam you the Almighty’s blessings. Your generous donations will be much appreciated and your contribution will be duly honored in the Guru’s Darbar. A commemoration volume honoring the Sponsors and Donors will be put before the conic ration every year at the time of the A awards Ceremony.
