BOMBAY: Noted theatre personality and character actor Om Shivpuri died in his sleep late Monday in Madras. He was 52.
The actor, who was shooting for a Hindi film there, was found dead in his room in a five star hotel. The body has been shifted to the Madrasa mortuary and will be flown to the city Tuesday night.
Family sources here said the actor had been suffering from a heart ailment.
A product of the national school of drama, Om Shivpuri migrated to Bombay in 1970 from Delhi, after an eventful career on stage.
