BHOPAL: The All India Obaidullah Khan Gold Cup Hockey Tournament is not likely to be held this year due to the non-availability of playing grounds here.
The Bhopal Hockey Association (BHP) which proposed organizing the tournament at the international level on the lines of the Indira Gandhi International Hockey Tournament may not even hold the usually annual tournament at the national level as the laying of AstroTurf is not likely to be completed by the middle of May when the tournament is scheduled.
The BHA had planned to stage the three tier tournament this year with the local rounds and the main tournament to be completed before inviting Asian Hockey teams for the final stage,
