Dr. Sahota has a brilliant academic background. He was on the merit list of D.A.V. College Jullundur. He did his M.B.B.S. from Government Medical College Amritsar. He was a senior house officer for five years at Wales in England. He did his post-graduation at Cincinnati, Ohio in 1977. Dr. Sahota is a diplomat of American Board of Psychology.
In 1979 he moved to California at Los Angeles. In 1981 he got married to Rajinder Kaur daughter of S. Pritam Singh Dhaliwal who is one of the few educated pioneers of 1921. Marriage was performed at Gurdwara Sahib Stockton. Dr. Sahota was so much attached to Stockton that he moved to this place and joined San Joaquin County Mental Health Services as consultant psychologist.
Dr. Sahota is a born athlete. He is a good Kabaddi player. You can find him at the tournaments and kabbadi matches anywhere in northern California. He loves to watch sports. He is a good story writer and contributed to college journal. He loves his native village Jandusangha and misses his life at the tubewell.
Rajinder Sahota, his wife, teaches in Lodi Unified School District. She was born and raised in this area. She was an excellent volleyball player of Delta College, Stockton. She is a member of the 4H Club and was once lamb champion at the county fair Lodi.
